Selective Service Registration is the process past which the U.S. authorities collects names and addresses of men age xviii through 25 to use in case a national emergency requires rapid expansion of the Armed Forces. Information technology is a borough and legal responsibility.
With few exceptions, all male person U.S. citizens, living in the U.s. or overseas, including male legal permanent residents residing in the United states of america and its territories, must register between their 18th and 26th birthdays.
Men who have registered remain eligible for federal student aid, most federal jobs, and federal chore training. Non-citizen males living in the U.South. who are 18 through 25 and required to register must register to remain eligible for citizenship.
